Grand Rapids Sister Cities International Bielsko-Biała, Poland, Committee announces Bielsko-Biała artist Inez Baturo. She is participating in ArtPrize 2016. Her black and white landscape photography is displayed at Homestead Suites by Hilton, 161 Ottawa, NW.
“We are pleased to host Ms. Baturo as an extension of our Grand Rapids Sister Cities friendships,” Mayor Rosalynn Bliss said. “Ms. Baturo’s photography is timeless and it defies boundaries.” Co-founder and co-curator of the Gallery of Photography B&B in Bielsko-Biała, Baturo’s photographs have been published in “Playboy”, “Voyage”, “National Geographic”, “Podróże”.
She has authored “The Beskidy Mountains”, “The Beskids”, “Cieszyn”, “Inez Baturo–Landscape Photography.” Her images are published in the books “Polish Mountains”, “BielskoBiała”.
Her achievements and work include the Foundation Centre of Photography, the FotoArtFestival (a biennial of top world photography), Co-owner of the Baturo Publishing House, the Union of Polish Nature Photographers, member of the Forum Agency (Warsaw, Poland), member of the IRIS, the organization promoting women in arts (Great Britain). Baturo follows fellow Bielsko-Biała artist Natalia Pawlus, ArtPrize 2014, whose work is permanently displayed in the City of Grand Rapids Parking Services facility at 50 Ottawa, Avenue.
